Yes, it’s true!  13 weeks along and TOO many to go, we are SO looking forward to meeting this next baby.

Unlike our first two, we’ve decided to not find out the gender at the 20 week ultrasound.  That decision is seeming crazier and crazier the closer we get to 20 weeks.  I’m excited to experience the ultimate surprise though!  :)

I’m excited for an October baby….it’s always been my most favorite month.  Now to just get through these summer months….

Happy Birthday to my cousin Amanda!  This girl is so much fun!  She’s always been my closest cousin.  She is 4 years younger than me (but now we’re 3 years apart for a few months)….today she turns 26!  Since neither of us ever had a sister, she’s been one  that has served that role in my life!  :)

Some of my favorite memories with Amanda:

*Dressing alike (thanks to the amazing seamstress that our Grandmother was!)

*flying BY OURSELVES to visit our Aunt Jackie in San Francisco when I was 12 and she was 8

*freaking out together while sitting under the pool table at my Grandparents during a tornado warning.

*running over a rabbit when driving together (I was the 16 yr. old at the wheel).  We laughed SO hard! (and, yes, I realize that was a random memory)  :)

*hiking together when I visited her in Durango, Colorado (where she’s lived for the past 8 yrs.):

a beautiful place with great company!....picture taken by Amanda!

*Dancing like idiots at my bachelorette party:

*Having her stand beside me at my wedding!!!:

we wrote a little something about each of our bridesmaids and groomsmen in our wedding program...this is what I wrote about Amanda

*Her visit to Cincinnati to hang with us!!! It was such a blessing to have her here….she got some serious bonding time with Greyson and tiny Selah (who was only a few weeks old).  Amanda helped me SO much while she was here too….without me even asking (I guess she could tell I was a mess).  She insisted that I nap (while she held Selah and entertained Grey), she shoveled our driveway, she organized some of my cupboards, she did laundry.  Seriously, I hope to do the same for her someday!

Here are some pics from her visit last month…She just cut off her dreads that she’s had for 4 years….I love the new do!:

two of my favorite girls!

playing in the snow with Grey...he LOVES Amanda!

LOVE YOU Amanda!  I hope your 26th year is your greatest yet!

It shouldn’t be allowed.

It shouldn’t be allowed.

I have the worst cold I’ve had all year right now….now…3 weeks before my due date. That, my friends, is what shouldn’t be allowed. My sleep deprivation has taken on a new level, my energy is zapped, and I feel bad taking cold medicine (though, thankfully, my doc. gave me the ok to take Tylenol Cold yesterday and I’ve definitely taken her up on that).

I will say though that I’m glad I’m getting it now and not a week from now. I hope to have kicked this before I go into labor. I really want to be able to breathe easier through contractions (though I don’t know if the word “easy” can ever be used in the same sentence as “contractions”), I don’t want to waste my time in between contractions blowing my nose, I need to be able to kiss all over her new little face without fearing I’ll get her sick….and I’m hoping that the first lullaby she hears will be void of this raspiness! :)

be back soon–

be back soon–

I have so much to update on, so many thoughts, and even some new pictures….BUT, I have no time.  We moved into our new place on Sunday night and I’ve spent every free moment unpacking, cleaning, and exploring.  I have lots more boxes to tackle AND I have my Ohio Social Work licensure test next Thursday that I have to study like a crazy woman for.  SO, I promise I’ll post again soon (not that anyone is waiting on the edge of their seat or anything!)  :)

Until then….
